Rowdy Room SongFinder Privacy Policy

What SongFinder does

SongFinder lets you enter a song title, artist, and karaoke search type. Rowdy Room sends that search to its server, which uses YouTube API Services to return public YouTube video results.

YouTube and Google notices

SongFinder uses YouTube API Services. Your use of SongFinder is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Information used

SongFinder uses the search text you enter and the YouTube result you select. YouTube result information may include video title, channel name, thumbnail URL, YouTube video URL, publication date, and video duration.

Storage and refresh

SongFinder keeps YouTube search results in short-lived server cache for quota and performance control. The cache is intended to expire within hours, not days. The Companion queue uses the selected song title and artist for live-show queue operation. Rowdy Room should not use SongFinder as a long-term store for YouTube metadata.

Cookies and similar technology

SongFinder may store a local consent record in your browser so you do not have to re-check the terms box on every visit. The hosting provider may also use ordinary security, traffic, or operational technologies needed to serve the page.

Sharing

SongFinder sends search requests to YouTube API Services through the Rowdy Room server. Selected songs may be sent back to the Rowdy Room Companion window so the queue form can be filled or submitted. Rowdy Room does not sell SongFinder search information.

Revocation and deletion

You can clear SongFinder consent data by clearing site data for songfinder.rowdyroom.site in your browser. If you need Rowdy Room queue or request data removed, contact the Rowdy Room host/operator.
